SANCTUARY: Elegant East GRAND Rapids Kitchen

"We hired Jennifer Butler Interior Design to design our new kitchen remodel and addition. We couldn't have been happier with the way our extensive project turned out.

We are thrilled with our new kitchen. Our extended family and guests just rave!" ~EGR Kitchen project client

East Grand Rapids homeowners lived in this early 20th century home for over thirty years. They raised their children here and always wanted to redo the kitchen. With their children grown, now was the time.

The vision was to create something grand. Our client asked for a sophisticated, elegant, bright and open space, all of which their existing folded kitchen lacked. They asked for a Christopher Peacock look and feel, an admired and commonly requested kitchen style that was achieved with white quartzite countertops, white marble subway tiles for the backsplash, a square style range, and most notably a classic central island as the focal point of the now open and unraveled kitchen.

Builder, Bryan Van Baren, did a fantastic job executing the project to deliver the polished results we had envisioned. Bryan demonstrated his fine craftsmanship in all the custom cabinetry he built on site.

"Our home is a gracious 75+ year old house that had a very small kitchen, breakfast room, powder room, maid's area and attached tiny mud room. Jennifer and her team designed an open kitchen with top quality appliances, efficiently laid out floor plan, and a new attached mud room with a nice sized powder room. She worked effectively with our contractor, assembled drawings that guided the contractor and his team to build a fabulous space with gorgeous lines, surfaces, colors and layout that easily held 45+ women at a holiday party."
