MVP Orchard Hills Athletic Club - Construction Zone

An old tennis club is undergoing construction that will transform it into MVP's newest full-service fitness center. Jennifer Butler Interior Design was approached by return client MVP Sports Clubs president, Karl Droppers, to be their designer once again, following previous work together at MVP facilities including the MVP Sportsplex and MVP Fieldhouse in Grand Rapids, MVP Rockford, MVP Holland, and MVP Athletic Club - The Villages, Florida

Orchard Hills proximity to the north and east Ada community made it a prime candidate for MVP to expand their world-class exercise, recreational, and sport services.

“The Crahen property renovation will allow us to bring some exciting new fitness programming to this location including a strength, cardio and circuit training area, three group exercise studios, a functional training area, indoor basketball, four indoor tennis courts, and a supervised kids’ area,” said Karl Droppers, President, MVP Sports Clubs in a recent press release.

Existing amenities include, an outdoor pool, outdoor tennis, basketball and sand volleyball areas.

“We see the new MVP Sports Clubs fitness facility as an opportunity to provide much-needed access to health and training, especially for our members in Ada and Grand Rapids Townships,” said Droppers.

Architectural design was led by AMDG Architects with Rockford Construction working in high gear as construction manager. The architectural and interior design of the Orchard Hills club has a fresh, updated, youthful feel to it. We worked with MVP to take the design quotient up a notch.

Time was our biggest challenge with this project. Rockford is working at warp speed. To handle the project's demanding time constraints, we made extra effort to keep in close communication with AMDG through the process. Teaming up to meet the challenge, the project is on track for scheduled completion this summer.
